Standing on the rocky spur overlooking the village, rebuilt on the ruins of a feudal manor house destroyed during the Wars of Religion, the château seigneurial as its remains still stand dates back to 1604.
Existing since 1141, and the birthplace of the Du Vivier family, descendants of Pépin Le Bref and Charlemagne, it now offers a fine view from the hilltop overlooking the village.
