CLOS DU ROMARIN

CLOS DU ROMARIN is located in the commune of Maury in the Pyrénées Orientales (66). It covers 48 hectares and stretches over 12 kilometres between Maury and Saint-Paul de Fenouillet. Of the estate's 48 hectares, 10 ha produce white wine and 38 ha red wine, both dry and vin doux naturel. The grape varieties are grenache noir, carignan noir and syrah for the reds, and muscat à petits grains, grenache gris and maccabeu for the whites. The soils of the plots are mainly black schist, on the left bank of the Maury river. The right-hand side is more clay-limestone. Different soils, exposure to the sun, climatic conditions... all these factors open up a wide range of possibilities: blends, vinification by parcel, "lieux-dits".
